“Everything Starts with Identity”

Who is Chelsea J.?

Come on in.

Welcome, I’m Chelsea J!

I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practitioner, Mental Health Trainer, Educator, Speaker and Expressive Art Facilitator. I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from Limestone College and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina.

With over ten years of clinical and community experience, I view therapeutic relationships as a partnership that provides a fluid opportunity for my therapy partners to rediscover their voice and take control of their choices.

The clients I partner with find success in holding themselves accountable to their process and doing the work in-and-out of session. They are ready to disrupt unhealthy cycles in their lives as a result of trauma. They desire to master their identity and are committed to the process.

I am also a non-profit organization Clinical Therapist, serving several local and state-wide organizations. I walk alongside survivors of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, and those at risk of exploitation. I partner with organizations to provide direct clinical services through individual and group therapy. I construct group curriculums and assist with writing Standard Operating Procedures.

In addition, I am the creator of The Flow, an expressive art group experience allowing adults and children to utilize visual art and writing to process thoughts and emotions to promote emotional growth and healing. This is a spiritual experience where The Abundance of the Heart Speaks.

In my free time, I enjoy thrift shopping, painting, reading, journaling, and traveling with my family and friends.

Making yourself a priority is not selfish.

You truly can’t give to others what you haven’t given to yourself.

There must be a disruption in old patterns.

Therapy is the starting line to discover healthy ways of living and disrupt unhealthy cycles.

Walking through the process of therapy tells your brain change is coming. The challenge of therapy reveals that you can manifest the change.

Taking control of your process is a power move.
